Tapa Kalān - Figure
The face of this hybrid demon is partly canine, combined with a short, broad nose. The awful mouth has sharp teeth and boar's tusks, and a protruding tongue. From the temples protrude curious sharp points. Restored on his bust in the Guimet Museum, this demon was bare-chested. A bandolier slung over his left shoulder may have been holding the scabbard of the weapon he appeared to be wielding with his right hand.
